Frequently Asked Questions

I've never done yoga before. Can I come to class?

Yes! Our classes are designed to be all levels and have options throughout for beginners and advanced students alike. If you are brand new, we suggest trying a non heated class first to get familiar with the shapes and poses. Always feel free to check in with your instructor if you have questions, and take class at your own pace.

I've never tried a hot class but want to. Can I handle it?

Yes! Classes will be accessible and as always modifiable for all levels. If you have never practiced yoga before, we suggest checking out one of our foundations or non-heated classes first before jumping into the heat so you are familiar with the movements. Drink plenty of water before class and throughout practice, and let the teacher know that you are new. Rest when you need! You’ll start to notice the difference in no time!

Where are you located?

We are located at 50 Adams St. in Biddeford. As you drive up Adams St, go through the stop sign. We are the first driveway on the right once you pass through the stop sign. Look for the ramp at the back of the lot, and you’ll see our signs and our door. We’re located in a historic building in the Biddeford downtown district and love being a part of Biddeford’s thriving  downtown.

What if I'm not flexible?

Being flexible is not a requirement for being able to do yoga! We come to yoga to increase our strength, flexibility, and overall well being. Everyone starts with different levels of flexibility, and you’ll begin to see results in a way that is safe and works for your specific body.

What should I wear?

Dress comfortably in clothes that won’t restrict your movement, and bring a layer for savasana (guided relaxation and meditation). We practice in bare feet. Please remove your shoes when you arrive at the studio.

What should I bring?
Bring your water bottle, layers, and a yoga mat. We do have yoga mat rentals available for $1 if you don’t have a yoga mat.
When should I arrive?

The studio is open fifteen minutes before class begins. Please arrive early enough to get yourself settled and set up, and if it’s your first class, to fill out a first time waiver and ask any questions you may have.

How often should I practice yoga?
The more regularly you practice, the more results you will see, however you can certainly benefit from even one yoga class per week! By committing to a routine in your practice, you’ll begin to see results both in your physical practice and in the mindfulness practice. We recommend at least two classes per week to see and feel results.
Can I bring my child/teenager?
We periodically offer children’s classes and baby and me classes for a variety of ages. For our regular classes that are not labeled specifically for children/teens, teenagers ages 14 and above may attend with a legal guardian.
Where Can I Park?

We have a few designated spots in our parking lot but they fill fast, so if you are running late we suggest finding street parking; some additional first come first serve one hour parking, and during off business hours (outside of the 9-5 range) you can park at the bank parking lot just across the street from us. There is also free 4 hour parking on Central St. and some free street parking in the surrounding neighborhoods.

Are you hiring?

We are always looking for great instructors who have a mindfulness practice,  as well as studio assistants and volunteers to add to our team. We ask that you have been practicing at our studio for about a month (try out our $39 new student special) to make sure it feels like a good fit for you as well as for us!  Come on in and say hello!
